    On 7th September 2011 Takapuna Grammar's first 15 visited Wilson base school and joined in with an assembly as part of the celebrations for the rugby world cup. There were lots of excitement and many students and staff dressed up to show their support for their countries rugby team. We had English, Samoan and All black supporters to name a few.

    Wednesday 14th September Hip Hop dancers from Albany Senior High School performed for our students. The ASHS students taught our students a simple dance which both groups performed. Our students really enjoyed being part of the performance.

    On Friday 26th the students of AJHS, the Glenfield College group, LSU and Room 3 base school students participated in a beach clean up on Takapuna beach. This was organised as part of a Peninsular wide beach clean up in an effort to spruce up our community for the upcoming rugby world cup.

    A wonderful day was had by all at the Wilson School sports day held at base school.
    Our satellite classes joined in with the activities and parents also supported this fun event.

    On Monday 29th August the base school were entertained by students from MAINZ (Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand). We were the first school in their 2011 School Tour, where they tour around performing at Auckland schools for a week.
    Our students responded well to the performance as the MAINZ students shard their passion for Music and encouraged the students to join in by dancing
