Join our vibrant and supportive specialist school on Auckland’s North Shore. Our base school is in Hauraki, withsatellite classes in five other schools across the Shore. We cater to students with special needs aged 5–21,offering small classes of eight students, supported by a dedicated team of teachers, teacher aides, andtherapists.
We are looking for a teacher who naturally embeds creativity into their daily practice and makes learning fun. As apractitioner, you will enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, all focused on supporting the learning anddevelopment of each student.
Due to the geographical nature of our school, a full driving license is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to:
– Develop a love of learning.
– Create innovative approaches to delivering the curriculum.
– Relate well with students, whānau, staff, and other agencies.
– Work collaboratively to develop personalised goals and monitor achievement.
– Experience working with young people with Autism and structured learning environments is desirable.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the relevant collective agreement(Primary Teachers’ Collective Agreement). The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from$61329 to $103086, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. The individual’s actual basesalary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.

From time to time we recruit caring and committed Teacher Aides to support our students. Preferably, the right candidate will have experience in a classroom, healthcare or support role. Attributes we look for is someone who is patient, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. Our teacher aide roles involve supporting students with diverse learning and physical needs.
