About Me

Kia ora koutou, It's an absolute privilege to be Principal at Wilson School, working alongside such a passionate and dedicated team. The school prides itself on having a long history of supporting students to achieve their full potential. I joined the Wilson team part way through 2020, I have a background of supporting students with a range of needs and have leadership experience from special schools in New Zealand and the UK. I originally trained as a Primary teacher before moving into Special Education, initially specialising in working with children with Autism within highly structured learning environments. I really value the opportunities that specialist education can provide for our students, linking together teaching and therapy to provide a holistic approach.

About Me

I am a passionate educator with experience both in mainstream and specialist education. I believe building positive relationships with our tamariki and our whanau is essential to ensure they feel safe and supported to take risks and challenge themselves as life long learners. I live on the North Shore with my husband and two beautiful children, who keep me busy with their extra-curricular activities. I enjoy cooking and socialising with family and friends.
